Position Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality adult outpatient neurological care, conducting assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans. This role requires a strong background in various nursing practices, including outpatient care and clinical research, along with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Order appropriate diagnostic tests and treatments in accordance with updated and acceptable clinical guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in utilization review processes to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Engage in clinical research activities to contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care quality and safety.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and preventive measures.
  • Meet with vendors and sponsors for updated educational guidance to ensure the best patient care.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program, Family or Adult.
  • Current unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
  • A minimum of two years experience in outpatient adult neurology is REQUIRED. If none, your application will not be considered.
  • Familiarity with MacPractice EMR is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of neuro-radiology review.
  • Experience administering botox for chronic migraine, blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm.
  • Current DEA license is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.
