Position Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality adult outpatient neurological care, conducting assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans. This role requires a strong background in various nursing practices, including outpatient care and clinical research, along with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Order appropriate diagnostic tests and treatments in accordance with updated and acceptable clinical guidelines.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in utilization review processes to optimize patient outcomes.
- Engage in clinical research activities to contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care quality and safety.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and preventive measures.
- Meet with vendors and sponsors for updated educational guidance to ensure the best patient care.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program, Family or Adult.
- Current unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
- A minimum of two years experience in outpatient adult neurology is REQUIRED. If none, your application will not be considered.
- Familiarity with MacPractice EMR is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of neuro-radiology review.
- Experience administering botox for chronic migraine, blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm.
- Current DEA license is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.
