At Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, our Obstetrics and Gynecology Department consists of specialists whose focus is women’s health. They are responsible for general gynecological medical care for women, but also provide care related to pregnancy and the reproductive system.  As an APC in OB/GYN your responsibilities would be concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of general health problems, but you would focus on ailments specific to the female anatomy, such as breast and cervical cancer, urinary tract and pelvic disorders, and hormonal disorders. As an APC in the obstetrics and gynecological department your focus would include treating and counseling women throughout their pregnancy, from giving prenatal diagnoses and postpartum care. The role of the gynecological APC provider at Kelsey Seybold spans the adult lifetime of woman’s care and needs.

An obstetrical and gynecological provider at Kelsey Seybold could expect to have the opportunity to grow intellectually and professionally over her or his entire career. Our patients are diverse and open to our unique manner of integrated and respectful care, meeting their needs with an emphasis on patient satisfaction and evidence-based care. 


Primary Responsibilities:

You can count on Kelsey-Seybold OB/GYN APCs for: 

  • Complete obstetrical prenatal care 
  • Family planning 
  • Well-woman exams 
  • Vaccinations and screenings, including gynecological cancer and breast cancer screening
  • Treatment of menstrual disorders, gynecological problems, and menopause 
  • In-office procedures to your skill level that are common to the practice as they relate to gynecological conditions and needs and contraception
  • The role of the APC would include working closely and in collaboration with your supervising OB/GYN physician in a shared practice model

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an Accredited School of Physician Assistant Studies/Accredited Masters of Science in Nursing Program
  • Licensed in the State of Texas
  • Board Certified and/or Board Eligible


Preferred Qualification:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency 


The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $166,500 annually based on full-time employment. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
