PAPN Texas Announces Call for Nominations

PAPN Texas is announcing a CALL FOR NOMINATIONS for Board of Directors  candidates.  The open positions this year are OFFICERS; President-Elect, Treasurer.  There are also REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES positions for Austin/Hill Country, Houston/Gulf Coast, and Pan Handle/Plains.  Due to resignations the El Paso/Big Bend and San Antonio/South Plains regional reps are also open.  If you are interested in being considered as an Officer, Regional Representative or Committee Chair or member and would like more information, please contact the Nominations Chair, Linda Barloon at jlbarloon@msn.com .

The following is an explanation of the PAPN Texas Board of Directors and their selection. Additionally, here is a link to the association Bylaws.  

The Board of Directors is composed of Officers, Regional Representatives and Committee Chairs.  The Board of Directors Officers are  President-Elect, President, Past-President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.  There are 6 Regional Representatives for Austin/Hill Country, Dallas/Fort Worth/Northeast Texas, El Paso/Big Bend, Houston/Gulf Coast, Panhandle and San Antonio/South Texas regions.  PAPN Texas members elect Officers and Regional Representatives to 2 years terms.  One half are elected in odd years and the remaining half are elected in even years.  The Committee Chairs (Communication, Education, Legislative, Membership, and Nominating) are appointed to 1 year terms by the Board of Directors.  The term of service for all BOD positions begins July 1st.
